Programming:

We provide a variety of programs in the following core areas to support the Memphis Professionals: Leadership development, Entrepreneurship, Community Impact, and Student Development.

Leadership Development – The development of local talent is the top priority for the Memphis Chapter. It is our goal to provide programming that focuses on leadership strategies, tools, and techniques that prove to be imperative to the Memphis professional‘s growth. This is accomplished through several different avenues throughout the year. Key programming such as resume workshops, roundtable discussions, wealth building seminars and interview sessions with top companies all contribute to how the Memphis Chapter plays a role in the progression of local professionals.

Entrepreneurship Development – The Memphis NBMBAA is committed to the growth and development of the Memphis entrepreneur. As one of our channels of engagement, we provide annual programming that focuses on the development of the entrepreneur. This is accomplished through our annual Entrepreneur Empowerment Series that is dedicated to the study of the three phases of business the start-up phase, growth phase, and expansion phases. This seminar is led by local subject matter experts from a small business finance team, entrepreneur resource centers, and featured entrepreneur. This event is usually a 3 part series and held in 2-hour sessions.

Community Engagement – The Memphis NBMBAA provides opportunities for our members to be stewards of the community. We partner with different community organizations throughout the year to volunteer and provide support for the Memphis Community. We have previously participated in the Youth Villages Soup Sunday Event, Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, and several mentor programs.
